These little ladies and 8 more just strolled through on Tuesday. It was a delight to have them appear two days before Thanksgiving. Lucky for them, there was already a grocery store bird in the frig!

Yes, the King quilt for our bed made from the CT Birtchtree Lane collection is at last pieced and ready to quilt! It has taken way longer to get to this point than originally anticipated; but IMHO the results are worth it. Just wondering if any of you  have attempted a kaleidoscope quilt? And if so, what were your results. Yes, I am considering making one...am I totally nuts?  Probably.....lol

The box of "Goodies" arrived today. My daughter and I took the FQ's into the bedroom, turned on ALL available lighting (it's clouding up to rain yet again), removed the current comforter from the bed leaving a cream colored blanket in place, and have been laying out the FQ's in various orders deciding what we like best.  I wish there was a teal solid that matched the group. Well, I never blog, so this is a first...but just had to say something about the Birchtree Lane collection featured on the cover of the May 2011 CT catalog because it definitely caught my attention. Last fall we painted our master bedroom in two tone teals/turquoise colors with white trim. The floors are dark and the furniture is dark.
