I am so glad to be back to work and using my hands after being off for 3 weeks with my carpal tunnel surgeries. Most of all I can't believe how much I have missed sewing. I am gradually getting back to it and think I can do almost everything. My DH and Karen have helped me with some rotary cutting so I can sew! I am so happy!!

I cleaned my sewing room today. I have more UFOs and projects that I want to start than I did at beginning of this year, The deal I made with myself was that I needed to finish 2 UFOs before I started 1 new project. It seemed like a fair deal. I tried to make myself follow my rules but I just plugged my ears (la la la)and did what ever I wanted. (Kind of the same thing I do when I try to diet.) I don't know why vacations have to fly by so quickly. I had a wonderful time in Calif. The Long Beach Quilt Festival was great. I took an applique class from Karen K Buckley and a paper piecing class from Carol Doak. They were both great. I came home with lots of purchases and 3 new baby UFOs. I even managed to slip in some Disneyland days! Now I need to get back to work!

Thanks for entertaining me with all of your posts while I sit in the airport. I am supposed to be In Calif now. But...our flight was overbooked. No one was giving up thier seats. There was a young couple with a baby that would have been left behind so my husband and I decided to give up our seats. We got free flights for doing it. I am leaving in the morning to go on vacation to Hawaii!! I'll miss reading the blog posts but I think I will live through it for 10 wonderful days with no computer. There will be a lot to catch up on when I get back. I have a hard time doing hand work in the summer because my hands get so hot but I slipped a little EPP project in my bag just in case I have a chance to work on something.

Wow! I have been so busy lurking and commenting on what you all write I just realized I haven't blogged in almost a month! I have been quilting but nothing finished to report. I go to TUFO but no completed UFOs. I think I NEED to finish something. Maybe tomorrow... I am the Queen of procrastination! After working all day I spend a lot of time tucked away upstairs sewing and browsing on this site. I was complaining that my shoulder starts aching after awhile so my DH encouraged me to get a laptop so I don't have to sit in the same position for so long.
