Hello all from freezing Montana! Wanted to catch up on posting pictures of quilts I made during my absence from this site! This one is a baby quilt made for a precious little girl who's Mom's favorite colors are purple and green! This pattern was featured in a fairly recent quilt magazine (who's name alludes me at the moment). It was a fun quilt…Continue
Baby quilt ready to go to new family member! After rigorous testing Duncan says this will be a great quilt for a baby to sleep upon! FYI all baby quilts are washed prior to sending them to their new owners!
Have a great weekend every one!
It's been sooo long since I've been on this site or posted anything. I must admit that "other site" FB sucks me in with it's stupid games that I don't have much time for anything else! Anyway I'm trying to turn over a new leaf....with one of my NY resolutions being to go thru my scraps and concentrate on using them up on projects to be made this year. My 1st project is…Continue
The Jo Morton civil war saga continues! I love this fabric line and these little mini quilts! Hope you do to!
For some reason I could only post one picture at a time in the previous post. Here is the second one! Once again, Have a good weekend!
Our local quilt shop has hosted the Jo Morton Little Women Club last year. I've completed 6 of the 8 civil war quilts featured in the club. I will try to post 2 of them here today! Hope all of you have a great weekend!
Because of my computer problems..I was unable to post a couple of projects I did for Halloween. Hope you enjoy them!
Whew...I found you! Last September my laptop bit the dust....and I finally replaced it. Anyway...it is good to be back with my quilter friends. Have a few projects that I've completed since the "crash" so I will be posting them as soon as I can figure out how to do it on this new computer. Hope you all have a great New Years!
Hi all! It's been forever since I posted anything....so I guess I just wanted to post my latest quilt project! This quilt was for a "young" (and don't they all seem young anymore) cousin that graduated. He had quit a struggle getting through High School, so I figured he really needed an atta boy for finishing! Hope all is well with everyone and that we all keep on quilting!
Did any of you either make or receive a Granny Square croucheted afgan during the seventies? Well I always had a love/hate feeling towards them....they were kinda fascinating, but sort of ugly! Anyway, one of our Guilde members made a Quilted Granny square and it inspired a group of us to exchange 1 1/2 inch strips to make our own Granny Quilts. Finally finished mine and I think it is kind of fun! Maybe this will be the quilt that accompanies me to the rest home!
Wishing you a very Happy Valentines Day! Wanted to share the Valentine I made for our Guilde Valentine exchange! XXXOOO to all!
JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT MY VALENTINE WON THE BEST VALENTINE CONTEST LAST NIGHT AT OUR GUILDE~! I WALKED AWAY WITH THE $25.00 GIFT CERTIFICATE AT OUR LOCAL QUILT SHOP! I AM AMAZED THAT I WON, SINCE THERE ARE SOOO MANY CREATIVE WOMAN IN THE GROUP! HAPPY SPRING ALL!
In my last blog, I was explaining how I was making quilts for my 3 girl cousins who are turning 60 this year. Here is the second one. This is my 1st Drunkards Path. This cousin lives in the Bay Area so I thought the modern prints would be great for her! Her birthday is in May, so thankfully I have some time! It was a fun pattern to make...think I'll make one from Batiques (sp?). Have a great day all!
Here I am posting twice in one week! Just wanted to post the baby quilt I finished yesterday. I must say, I really appreciate all the nice comments I get from my fellow quilters! It is almost as fun as show and tell at my Quilt Guild meeting! Hope you all have a very blessed New Years....full of good health, posperity and the finishing of lots of quilts! :)
Can't believe it's been August since I've last posted here. Had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas! Been doing lots of sewing on several projects and so I'm slowly getting things finished. I have 3 cousins turning 60 this year so I thought it would be nice to give them each a quilt. Got one done and two to go. Have a baby quilt to bind, and one to make for a graduation in the spring. I have the blocks done for the grad quilt...just have to put it together. Anyway here is the one…Continue
Here we are in the last month of summer! Like some of you I have been busy with vacations, visitors and just running around, so I havn't spent much time in my sewing room or on the computer. I did finish one fun quilt this summer, and because of the color scheme, I have named it "I dream of Huckleberries". It was a fun one to make, but it did make me think! Hope you all enjoy the rest of your summer and the pictures of my Huckleberry quilt!…Continue
Hello all! Can't believe I havn't blogged since April 1! Guess I've been busy with this and that and time has just passed. All is well here....DH has recovered from his March surgery...and as of now everything is great...no further treatment to be needed! I have completed a couple of quilts which I will attempt to post. The 2nd one is a Hunter's Star... it was very boring to make but I must say it turned out very nice! I made it for the future "Beach House"! The first on is a quilt…Continue
Have you ever started making a quilt top and ran out of one of the fabrics? Have you then went back to the store where you originally purchased the fabric to find they have no more, and after having them call to the manufacturer discover it is no longer being made? Have you then did a massive search on the internet only to find the color you need is not available anywhere? Well,…Continue
Been a couple weeks since I've posted to this site. I may not always post, but I do enjoy reading and commenting on others posts. Anyway to get you up to speed, I will start with the fun I had on one of my 3 annual retreats. I worked deligently on 3 projects but sorry to say I didn't complete any of them. I find myself "socializing" a lot more at these retreats especially since I've retired! After all, I can sew everyday at home by myself, but since I've retired I don't always get my…Continue
