Finally Finished

HI Everyone!

I FINALLY finished a couple of quilts for my parents - a belated anniversary present. Last year, my mom gave me a bunch of sample fabric squares to do something with. So I decided to put them together in a quilt for her & dad. At first I was going to do one big king size quilt. But wasn't sure where they would use it. That's when I chose to make 2 smaller quilts. A long time

Quilt Show

There's a quilt show in town this weekend.. am going to head over there and see what everyone else in town is up to! It's always fun to see how others do their quilts and there are so many different designs!

Summer's Almost Over

It's been a busy summer and I can't believe it's almost over! I splurged on a new long are quilting machine last month... am still learning how to use it with good results. It's fun to use.
I finished up a halloween quilt and am thrilled on how good it looks on my bed! I posted it on my photos page.

Wow! It's almost June 2010 already! It's been a wild past few months! I moved to Albuquerque, NM in January after getting a job offer I couldn't refuse!! With moving, school, new job... I still had time to make some new quilts - 7 total! They're posted on My Page. I had fun making all of them.
I hope everyone else is having a great year and sewing lots.

Summer's Over

Hey Everyone!
I hope you have had a great summer! I managed to complete another quilt today! YEA!
I have a couple of projects lined up, just have to get inspired by a pattern. One is for my sister's birthday (belated) and the other is a just for fun one.

Memorial Quilt

I posted the picture of my friend's Memorial Quilt. I plan to give it to her on Monday... that is the anniversary of her brother's death. I included pictures of him & her on the quilt. I'm pleased with the way it turned out. I hope she will like it and treasure it.

Memorial Day

Hey Everyone!

I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend! I've been working on a quilt for a friend of mine at work. It's a patriotic quilt. Her brother died 2 years ago in Iraq and I've been wanting to do something for her. I found some pictures of her & her brother and put them on the quilt. I hope she likes it.

Sometimes I wish I could do more for the soldiers to show support.

I've seen the Quilts of Valor website and might do more quilts for them.
