Hi everyone, I haven't been on any blogs since 2009, so I was just looking around and found my page, so I thought I would write a short blog. I've been making baby quilts for awhile now and so far having good luck selling them by word of mouth. Now I've started making corded fabric bowls, and I absolutely love it. They are turning out very nice. I have them in a little consignment shop in Henderson, NV, for the upcoming Holiday Season. Wish me luck!

thanks ladies, for all the info for looking for my book, I actually went to amazon just looking for books on chenille, but did't have the name with me, so didn't find the book until I went back with the name, so I found that one and one more on chenille that looked interesting. I will receive them next week. I'm so glad that quilters are so helpful, I appreciate it.

Hi everyone, haven't b een on for awhile, but have been busy sewing and quilting. I'm looking for a bookby NANETTE HOLMBERG CALLED TECHNIQUES FOR CREATING FAUX CHENILLE OR VARATIONS IN CHENILLE. I'm doing a project from the book, that someone in our mini-group gave us a class on, I think the book was published in 2004. I have looked in other venues, but have not found it. If anyone has a copy that they no longer want, and would like to sell it, Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org, and… Continue

Hi mart, I'm so glad to see that you have finished with the wedding ring circles. I haven't tried circles yet, but it doesn't look too hard. i will have to try it out on a practice quilt. For sure I will have to use a pattern for that one. I'll have to look thru my stash to see just what I have. Thanks for the info.

well it has been raining all day in Las vegas, and we are supposed to have snow in the mountains, but I don't think it's quite cold enough. I just hate the rain, and gloomy days, can't seem to get anything done. I should have been working on my red hat quilt, but somehow have been at a standstill. I wasn't quite sure how I was going to quilt on the inside borders, but I woke up with this idea of quilting gloves around the outside of the quilt, and maybe some curly q's in-between the blocks,… Continue

Well it is a very nice day here in Las Vegas, sun is out and weather is around 70, I think our winter is over, and now we have to wait for maybe some rain, and some flash flooding, but hope that won't happen till march or april. thanks for all the input for my red hat quilt, I don't know why I didn't think of some of those things myself. Good tips, all of them. I just put a lamp together that my roomate bought, (he's not very good at putting things together), and it looks very nice. Now I can… Continue

before xmas, I was commisioned to do 2 lap size quilts. One was to be a cat quilt, and one was to be a red hat quilt. I had some fat quarters for the cat quilt so I made sort of a scrappy cat quilt, got it finished, found a little lapel pin of a cat and added it on to the label. Then I started the red Hat quilt, looked for fabric everywhere, but could not find any, so again, I improvised. I found a catalogue that had ladies with hats in it, so I decided to make templates of some of the… Continue
