Celebrate Freedom

Last summer our quilting group, Scrappies, made a challenge quilt just within our group.  Each participant received one yard of fabric which was a black background and multicolored fireworks exploding all over the yard; we could add whatever other fabrics we wanted and make a quilt, pattern of our choice.  We then kept or donated quilts to charity of our choice; I donated to Quilts of Valor.  Here is my quilt; not too great a photo but enough to get the idea:…

One more photo

Wish I could take credit for this creation but I can't.  In 2010 while on vacation out West stopped in a quilt shop in Wyoming and saw this wallhanging and fell in love with it; it's about 24" x 18" and made with tons of tiny fabric pieces.  It looked like an actual photo.  I guess there is a place to send a photo and they will make a pattern of it; that's what this person did.  It is gorgeous!…

More photos

Photos of recently completed projects.  Coffee one is small and hangs on wall in kitchen.  I tore off wallpaper and border and painetd so needed new wall decor.  The heart one is for Valentine's Day and hangs on livingroom wall; I have several hangings for that wall so I can change them with the season or holiday.  Most are about 36" square.…
