Quilt With Us

Hot! Hot! Hot!

Just as spring arrived early here in NW Wisconsin, so has summer. Today was 89 and still 80 at 8:30 pm. Humidity must be equal to the temp. This is not usual for our area. Tomorrow is going to be the same. Need rain.

Have quilted little in the last week or so. Am machine quilting a twin size for the daybed in our loft which is now the spare bedroom. Used what fabrics I had left from CT Hearth and Home Collection. Second project from that collection; had to add some non-CT…

More photos

Told you once I learned how to download photos I wouldn't stop. Here are 2 more. Quilts of Valor I made and LAQ Linda Ford quilted; she is the coordinator in our area.

I love red, white, and blue and the people who serve us in the armed forces. God bless all of…

Rainy day isn't getting me down

Rainy days give a chance to quilt without the guilts to be outside working; I did that yesterday in the sun.

Here is a photo of a wall hanging I made last fall; it hangs in my daughter's office. Name is "Havenly Stars" from "Kansas City Scrapbook".

Snow is gone!!!!

Yippee, so is gone. Ground was white except under trees; white was backdrop for tulips and daffodils. All survived and so did I.

I have had a great Mother's Day weekend. Friday, my DD, DGD, and I went to the local Assembly of God Church for "Celebration of Daughters". First, we had a wonderful salad bar meal all prepared by the ladies of the church---yummy! Then we proceeded to the sanctuary to be entertained by "A Not So Normal Fashion Show". The models all purchased their…

It is the 7th of May; we had a beautiful April. Perennials are up; tulips are beautiful; daffodils are about done; trees are leafing. Spring came about 3 weeks early in NW Wisconsin. And-------today it is snowing! Nothing sticking to the grass but snowing never the less. I knew Mother Nature was fooling us. I guess I'll just have to sew. Oh, dear. Happy quilting!
