The visit from my son is over and he is well on his way back to Maryland. It was a wonderful visit in which we both had time to reflect on our lives. Much to his chagrin, he has become very attached to Michigan and our little homestead. Life is good here at the Drake's Nest. The wind is blowing ripples across the pond which in turn makes the sunbeams dance like so many diamonds whose reflections are thrown upon the walls and ceiling of my bedroom. Listening to the purring of my cat, SamWise, in the crook of my arm and the deep rythmic breathing of my wonderful husband beside me, all I can say is my heart is full.

Yeah! I made it through my first semester of my Bachelor's Degree program. Wheeeeee!!! While I did not make the Honor's program this time around, I'm perfectly happy with that. I passed my Algebra Class with a C- and I will take that. I still don't think 2 B's, 1 C- and an A are too shabby for a soon to be 60 year old who, up until my Associates Degree, had been out of school for 30+ years.
