I'm getting the Double Wedding Ring top put together. I'm considering a 30's solid back for it and wondered how much shadowing I'd get on the topside. For instance, if I back it in 30's red, will that cause my off-white centers and melons to have a pink shadow after it is quilted? The vintage DWR I have is backed in the 30's green/aqua and it doesn't seem to affect the color of the front. Any thoughts or experiences?
Here is the finished comfort quilt made for a friend going through breast cancer treatments. Thanks to help from many on here, this was done in 9" blocks in a puzzle set. It started with 3 pre-printed panels of Psalms (Comfort of Psalms I, II, and III from Block Party Studios purchased several years ago). I'm taking a quick break from my daughter's DWR to make a breast cancer comfort quilt for a church friend to take to her treatments. I have the Comfort of Psalms scripture panels to work with and plenty of scraps - pink and otherwise. Some of the quotes are squares and some are rectangles.
