Here's my version of the Li'l Twister tool pinwheel project for my girl. She graduates from college this weekend and is in the process of moving into an apartment. This is a little housewarming gift for her.

Spring (I keep telling myself it is spring anyway - no matter how much snow we get!) is a busy time of year here on our place. The cows have been moved from winter feed ground and start their rotation through the summer pastures. We've had good rains and/or heavy, wet snow this spring, so the grass is green & growing. I am looking for help/advice/input for the winding ways block. Just wondered if anyone had any tips for a scrappy winding ways so I don't lose the pattern or the circle effect. Do I just start cutting lights & darks and arranging them as I go? This will be a baby size quilt. My templates are for a 6" block. Any legends about babies and winding ways that I should know about? :) Thanks in advance for your help.
