Thanks, everyone!

Thanks to everyone who weighed in on the China Plate quilt. There were so many encouraging comments and helpful suggestions. I think I've nearly decided to finish it as a lap quilt (minus that dark 1" border) and be done with it. It just looks so pretty on a bed though, that I'm having a hard time giving up the dream of turning it into a bed quilt. I'll keep my options open for now and sit on it for about a week before making the final decision. I may use the broken dishes blocks… Continue

China Plate Dilemma

Here's my dilemma. I made this China plate quilt several years ago and it was to finish 57 x 63. I'm not much into lap quilts and thought it wouldn't be too much of a problem to add borders to make it a bed sized quilt. However, I'm terrible at math and couldn't decide how to finish it without having it look like the borders were an afterthought. Okay, they were, but I don't want them looking like it!

Well they're off!

Boys sure pack a lot different than girls. We had 2 cars loaded down with stuff when our daughter was a freshman in college. And even this year as a senior she had her car loaded to capacity.
