Like father, like son.

My husband complained today that our son seems to be rather skimpy on information in his college emails. I just chuckled and said, hmmmm, wonder where he gets that from? This is a man who can have an animated 2-hour conversation with my brother on the phone and then can't really remember what it was they talked about...

If wishes were horses...

Good morning from windy Nebraska!

I put the borders on my queen size version of CT's Baskets at the B & B last night. As I've mentioned before, I can't always "see" what my quilts will look like until they are actually done - even if I've auditioned the fabrics ahead of time. I'm really good, however, at seeing what I SHOULD have done afterwards. :0) While I love the first 2" scrappy border, I sure wish I'd have used green fabrics on the…

Is it just me or...?

I'm getting ready to put the borders on a quilt.

Confession: I'm not a fan of sewing on borders on my quilts. Don't misunderstand, I love how they look and appreciate how they frame quilts and frankly sometimes "make" the quilt. I just don't like that part of the quilt making process for some reason. As a scrap quilter, I kind of prefer what I think of as a vintage look of edge to edge blocks - where the quilter didn't have enough yardage…
