A precious gift from my MIL...

...and it's not even Christmas yet!  My mother-in-law doesn't have a sewing machine, so all of her quilts are made completely by hand. Her favorites are the hexagon quilts.  She draws her shapes around a template (usually cardboard), cuts her material with scissors 1/4" larger than the pieces, and stitches the pieces together along the drawn pencil line, just as her mother and grandmothers did.  She switches up the sizes and patterns of her hexagon quilts - some are the traditional GFG, some…
