My week was Spirit Led, was yours?
We had a pretty good week, this past week. I was able to work a lot on on the embroidery machine. The weather is getting more seasonable. It has been warmer than usual here in Texas. The highs have been in the mid 90's, a little to warm for this time of year.
This coming Saturday is the reveal party for our expected 4th grandchild. I am so excited. I will be excited to share with you next week. I am thinking it is a…Continue
Was your week Spirit Led? Mine was.
I am still praying for the victims of the shooting, hurricanes, fires, and earthquake (in Mexico). There is so much going on these days. Just this weekend, yet another hurricane (Nate) struck the gulf coast. I am so thankful that it moved fast through all areas. I am grateful for all answered prayers. I will wait for unanswered prayers, for they all are in God's hands and he will answer them in His time and in His…Continue

I hope your week was Spirit Led.
First I want to say something that occurred overnight last night. I am speaking about the mass shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Please know that my prayers have been lifted up for the victims (including those unharmed physically), victim families, police, fire, paramedics, hospital workers (doctor, nurses, nursing asst., etc). I have prayed for the community also. I pray for the family of the shooter. This is a horrific catastrophic…Continue
I have had a Spirit Led week, I hope you did also.
Last Monday we had a follow up doctor appointment for my husband and the trial he is going through. My husband told his general physician that he does not feel he has cancer. :( Me, after listening to both of his doctors, am convinced that he does. I told my husband that I feel it is in his best interest that he have any and all tests that the doctors suggest. That we can nip this in the bud, he has a chance to beat it. Then I…Continue
Morning, I pray you have all had a Spirit Led week. I know I did.
Today my husband has a follow up appt, with his general practitioner. He gets to explain why he REFUSED to have a test done. I sort of agree, but early detection is the key to all possible cancers. I knew i could not talk him into it. I have been married to him for 40 yrs. I know when I can push and when to let it go.
Thursday, the twin (Ryan) and his wife who are expecting had a check up.…Continue
That is what happens when you are retired sometimes. LOL
First, I hope all had a Spirit Led week last week. I know it was a hard one.
The recovery from Hurricane Harvey is underway, slowly in some areas, but at least it is moving along. Darren's father in law, who stayed in the Houston area during Harvey, seems to be doing fine. Irma is another story. That is going to be a mess from the get go. I am praying for all involved. From the victims, to the…Continue
Prayers are fulfilled...Spirit Led week
Prayers for my husband are requested. He has a follow up visit with the urologist this week. My husband says that he is doing better and better each day. He does not want any invasive 'probing' done, which may happen this week. We will see. One day at a time, sweet Jesus...
A follow up on our oldest grandson. He passed his driving test! He is legal to get out on the road in a vehicle! Look out world.…Continue
I hope you had a Spirit Led week, I know I did.
Monday was interesting. We had the solar eclipse to start the week. To end the week, there was a horribly destructive hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico. And in between, I was an instructor.
But first, and update on my husband. The medication is working. He is able to sleep better and with less interruptions to go to the restroom.
We did not really get into the eclipse. We have both witnessed…Continue
Welcome to another Spirit Led week. I hope last week went well for all. If not, hopefully the Spirit was with you.
Last week my husband asked me to make him a doctor appointment. He has been having trouble with his prostate for almost 2 years and would not let me get him to the doctor. So I called our doctor that we have used for 20 + years. They would not take him! Since we have not been to him in over 3 years, my husband would be considered as a 'new' patient. The…Continue
I hope you had a wonderful Spirit Led week.
Due to unforeseen events, I was not able to get to the studio to clean up.
One event was daily picking up grandson from morning band practice and returning him in the evening for another round. That would not have been bad, but in between, I was doing research on auto and home insurance companies. It seems that my current one seems to 'lose' the payments sent in. I sent my vehicle insurance in via bank pay and they…Continue
Praying you had a Spirit Led week.
As I am growing stronger and health is improving, I am able to do more.
School will be starting back soon in the area. Though we only have one grandchild in school at this time, he is fun to keep up with. His dad has him every other week. So since we are local, Seth is able to come visit us after his morning band practice. (Sean lives about 10 miles out of town) That way his dad does not need to worry about him. He has a…Continue
The Spirit Led my life again this week.
Though I did not do any crafting, I was able to catch up on a lot of domestic needs that have been neglected this past month. I was even able to spend a little time outside on yard work. The temperature has been oppressive of late. Temps hitting near 100 and heat index from 105 to 110. You do not spend much time outside. This week will be more conducive to working outside.
I also felt well and strong enough to…Continue
I had a blessed Spirit Led week, I hope you did also.
My husband and I rode with a son and his family to the Dallas Metroplex for the birthday party.
We had a great time. Baby Daniel was one busy little boy, with lots of big and little people to play with.
They had a cook out with kabobs and grilled chicken. There were all types of fresh fruit like pineapple, and kiwi and fresh melons.
After eating was going to be present time, but the babies…Continue
I hope all have had some special Spirit Led days.
It started with a bad summer cold, but soon moved into a sever case of bronchitis. I am on the mend now. But I will be requesting prayers for more healing. God is good and faithful. He is my strength.
Through I have battled to sew, I was always too tired to concentrate. I am back now though. Yesterday I was able to make a toddler bib for my grandson that will be turning 1 next Saturday. The bib is…Continue
What a week. I got a call early on Monday soon after writing my last post. Our son, who lives a block away, needed me to baby sit. He was scheduled to take her to his mother in law, but something came up there. He had a scheduled meeting with the city manager about sewage backing up into his house. He has been confronting this problem since he moved in 9 years ago. The city has been trying to remedy the situation, but our son is tired of having to live in a house with concrete floors.…Continue
I hope you had a very Spirit Led week. Again mine was a mixed bag.
The colors did not come out…Continue
Welcome to a new week. May it be Spirit Led.
This week was a mix of things. The first part of the week was completing a yard banner. It was a gift to my best friend. We met for brunch on Wednesday. Though we stay connected via email almost daily, it is really nice to visit in person. We used to meet almost monthly, but now it is every 3 to 4 months. Our schedules just do not meet up. She loved her banner. It was funny, she thought I had brought it just to show her…Continue
Welcome to another Spirit Led week. I hope your past week went well.
For me, this past week was used to catch up on some domestic deep cleaning. Not much fun, and definitely not needing a photo shoot. LOL It was still wet outside, so outdoor work was postponed again. I would rather do the outdoors than the indoors. Just as my husband went out to mow on Friday, it started raining again. With all this rain, it is stirring up allergens. I am miserable, with itchy watery…Continue
Welcome to another Spirit Led week. I hope this past one was great for you.
As stated in the title, it was a downtime week. This does not mean that nothing was done. I did do some weaving. But I have been planning and designing in my head more projects. I will be doing some bibs for Daniel for his birthday. I am going to quilt a wall hanging or table runner so I can break out my Christmas present and actually 'practice' on it. I received a …Continue
First I want to take the time to thank all of the military men and women and their families that have served our nation. Thank you for your service and your sacrifice. Our nation would not be the same without you. This also goes out to our first responders. Thank you for keeping us safe.
I had a wonderful Spirit Led week, I hope all of you did also.
I was able to complete the items for our granddaughters' birthday. I showed you the pillowcase dress last…Continue
