Welcome to a new week. May it be Spirit Led.
This week was a mix of things. The first part of the week was completing a yard banner. It was a gift to my best friend. We met for brunch on Wednesday. Though we stay connected via email almost daily, it is really nice to visit in person. We used to meet almost monthly, but now it is every 3 to 4 months. Our schedules just do not meet up. She loved her banner. It was funny, she thought I had brought it just to show her…Continue
Welcome to another Spirit Led week. I hope your past week went well.
For me, this past week was used to catch up on some domestic deep cleaning. Not much fun, and definitely not needing a photo shoot. LOL It was still wet outside, so outdoor work was postponed again. I would rather do the outdoors than the indoors. Just as my husband went out to mow on Friday, it started raining again. With all this rain, it is stirring up allergens. I am miserable, with itchy watery…Continue
Welcome to another Spirit Led week. I hope this past one was great for you.
As stated in the title, it was a downtime week. This does not mean that nothing was done. I did do some weaving. But I have been planning and designing in my head more projects. I will be doing some bibs for Daniel for his birthday. I am going to quilt a wall hanging or table runner so I can break out my Christmas present and actually 'practice' on it. I received a …Continue
First I want to take the time to thank all of the military men and women and their families that have served our nation. Thank you for your service and your sacrifice. Our nation would not be the same without you. This also goes out to our first responders. Thank you for keeping us safe.
I had a wonderful Spirit Led week, I hope all of you did also.
I was able to complete the items for our granddaughters' birthday. I showed you the pillowcase dress last…Continue
What a wonderful Spirit Led week.
I was kept busy with little projects and scheduling time. I made a couple of gift bags for a couple of boys' presents. Their party was Saturday though their birthdays were earlier in the month. The boys are brothers and are about 2 years apart, 7 and 9, now. These are the son's of the young lady (Rachel) that our oldest is seeing. The one I taught how to quilt. In fact, I slid her into my schedule this past week to mend a couple of spots…Continue
I am hoping that you had a Spirit Led week. Ours was trying again.
About one week after the Canton tornadoes to the west of us, there was another storm that went to the east of us, setting down more smaller tornadoes. I am thankful that this time no injuries or deaths resulted out of these storms. Life in East Texas. We have more possible severe storms due later this week. So please keep East Texas in your prayers. I believe the nastiness is due here Thursday and…Continue
I hope this finds everyone filled with the Spirit.
My week was up and down. I was under the weather a few days this week. I did get some weaving done though.
Here are some pictures of the banner. I really need to get a wrought iron banner holder for it. I used hook and loop on the back to make the hanging sleeve. I was so amazed that it held up through the high winds and rain of last Saturday.…Continue
Welcome to May. Since I can't secretly place flowers on each of your doorsteps, I will have to settle for this;
I will need to get a better finished picture of my yard…Continue
Hello everyone. I hope you had a Spirit Led week.
I am trying to help my husband in the yard. We have a quarter acre in town, so it has to be kept 'neat'. If it were in the country, I would not be as concerned about it. If you know what I mean. So, I spent several days in the flower gardens, weeding. They look so good after the weeds are pulled, so the flowers can shine.
I also did some weaving. I am almost finished with the garden banner. After it…Continue
I really do hope that everyone had a Passion Spirit Led week. I know I did.
Besides all the normal domestic stuff we all have to do, I was able to complete the hand sewing of the binding on the quilt and hand sewed on the custom label. I was able to complete the transaction after Church services on Sunday. Sorry no picture of me handing it over. But I do have pictures of the 72 inch by 89 inch quilt.…Continue
I had a great week overall. I did some indoor domestic 'stuff'. You know, that stuff we crafters always put off. I really did not spend anytime outdoors. My husband was doing some burning of the cut off limbs from a hedge that had gotten out of control. He has cut them down to about 3 foot tall. They had been some 8 foot high, with all types of vines and baby trees growing up through it. It was totally unruly. When it grows back, it should be really nice.
I hope everyone had a wonderful spirit led week. Overall, mine was great.
I contacted the person in charge of the Easter Egg hunt and have not heard back. I made up samples for approval. I have not heard a word. So, it appears that they are not interested. That is ok.
I need to get to weaving. I plan on making a couple of 'garden banners' and embroider on them. That way the design will show on both sides. I will use the same color in the bobbin as the…Continue
Morning friends and readers. I hope you have had a wonderful week.
Not harping on my situation, but today is the first day I have not woken up without pain. My back is healing slower that I had hoped.
I did not get any fun things done this week. I take that back a little. We had stopped by our high school FFA agriculture greenhouse. They were having a sale on some flowering and vegetable plants they had started. If you have ever gone to your local garden…Continue
I hope all had a great week. Mine could have been better.
While in the Dallas area caring for our grandson, I went to pick him up and something went out in my lower back. It is healing slowly.
Since I was mostly out of commission, no crafts were done. I had a hard time figuring out what day of the week it was, since I went to my sons' on Saturday and came home on Tuesday. I just felt my days were mixed up.
I will share some pictures of my…Continue

As I start my week (last week), I am torn. I have a pulled muscle on my left side. It hurts to move, breath, walk, sit. Near tears. My son wants me to come to stay with the baby, so he and his wife can get away for a bit one day. Thing is, they live some 80 miles away. I do not like driving in traffic anymore, though I was born and raised in that area.
To make a long story short, I his twin brother who lives near us, was coming up. I hitched a ride, sparing his brother driving…Continue
I hope that everyone had a good week. Mine was going o k until I pulled a muscle on, I think, Wednesday. I have had a hard time moving since.
I did complete what I was doing for Easter.
These are for our grandson. He should be cutting teeth by now. I will find out…Continue
I hope this post finds everyone well. I have been fighting allergies all week. The pollen level here has gone up to spring time levels. Itchy, watery eyes, sneezing, sinus drainage. Just miserable. But I know it will end, someday. Daffodils are in full bloom along with our Arizona Ash tree. Even our Chinese pistache is trying to bud out. Way to early. I pray we do not get a hard freeze now. I have even seen robins. So all of you that have snow, please send it elsewhere.…Continue
Thank you for reading my blogs.
What a crazy week starting with the weekend before Valentine's day. My husband and I were sort of anticipating a 'surprise' visit from our youngest son, Kyle. He is a Valentine's baby and knows how much I hate driving in Dallas, Tx. This year was different. Saturday we got a late afternoon call from Darren, (3rd child of 4 and youngest twin). They were going to have a get together for family and friends on Sunday. So, fast plans for a…Continue
Morning everyone. Since I do not post much, know that I do read the posts. I will try to post a blog once a week on Mondays from now on.
This past week was a busy one for me. We have 2 birthdays, one today Feb 14 (yes, our youngest was born on Valentine's day.) He is a real sweetheart. Our first grandson was born on the 19th. So it is coming up.
I started last week weaving. I wanted to finish a towel so I could try it out on my embroidery machine. It…Continue

I have a blog post that I started late last year. It has had no traffic and I was wondering if it was worth it. So, here is a link to it. But I will be moving it here from this day forward.
Old Blog: Spirit Led Crafts
I will post more tomorrow, but then will resume my Monday postings next week.
May you have a Spirit Led week.
