here is a pic of my halloween costume this year. i purchased some white felt, folded it in half. cut a hole for my head in the middle. stitched around the opening to prevent stretching. i added some ribbon ties on the sides. i painted 4" styrofoam balls in pastel colors, let them dry and then cut them in half with a serrated knife. i used a glue gun to attach them to the front of the costume. i put just a few on the back and sponge painted the other circles as if someone had eaten them off the…

made this little 19 inch quilt from a kit from LQS yesterday. love the colors. it is a real pick-me-up and fun to make. i substituted the brown for my own pink fabric. kit comes with all fabric for binding, backing and batting. they come out with a new one every month; this is the first one i have seen.

my 21-year-old daughter took irish stepdancing classes for 11 years, went off to college and gave it up. she is home on spring break and agreed that if the dress still fit, she would perform today at various venues. it fit and she had a ball; it was like she never left it. i guess it's like riding a bike.

wish me luck, i have entered a quilt in an online contest at http://beesquarefabrics.blogspot.com/

it is just 15.5 inches square. i wasn't sure i would qualify because i asked the "experts" on hgtv what they thought and one gal basically said "

i been piecing together this celtic quilt which was featured in the
May issue of Quick Quilts. My daughter did irish stepdancing for 11 years and i was drawn to the celtic knots. i haven't sewn it together yet but i think the batik fabrics just lend itself to the design.
