I know better...

I know better than to do what I just did again.  File this under "Been There, Done That."  I'm working on my challenge quilt for my guild---each person gets the same set of fabric, add as many as you want, make what you want (you can see the fabrics on my page).  I decided to make a beginner's Baltimore Album quilt using Mimi Dietrich's Baltimore Basics.  I needed muslin.  Rather than using a piece of muslin with enough for the whole project....you guess it.  I decided to be…

Dithering 2 (only not so much....I think)

Some of the dithering has subsided, I think, but Betweens asked about the fabrics we're using.  Here is how our guild challenge works: each person who participates receives an identical package of fabric, with more or less of each fabric depending on how much the committee buys.  (There is no cost to participate other than yearly dues--$10--a lot of our funds come from the sale of our cookbooks.  We're about to begin #4.)  You have to use some of every fabric, and you can add as many fabrics…

Dithering

I am dithering and would appreciate some advice.  I am making a small Baltimore Album quilt (from Mimi Dietrich's Baltimore Basics book) using the fabric from my guild's challenge for this year---not a lot of any one color, and it's in blue, red and tan, which isn't traditional, but if I have to do a challenge (and I'm president this year, so I do), I'm going to do one where I learn something i wanted to do anyway and I don't buy any more of the fabric.  Dithering part:  would you go ahead…
