Some of the dithering has subsided, I think, but Betweens asked about the fabrics we're using. Here is how our guild challenge works: each person who participates receives an identical package of fabric, with more or less of each fabric depending on how much the committee buys. (There is no cost to participate other than yearly dues--$10--a lot of our funds come from the sale of our cookbooks. We're about to begin #4.) I am dithering and would appreciate some advice. I am making a small Baltimore Album quilt (from Mimi Dietrich's Baltimore Basics book) using the fabric from my guild's challenge for this year---not a lot of any one color, and it's in blue, red and tan, which isn't traditional, but if I have to do a challenge (and I'm president this year, so I do), I'm going to do one where I learn something i wanted to do anyway and I don't buy any more of the fabric.
