We left just before a snow storm hit our area. We breezed through the south to Daytona for one night. Always like to stay on the beach...sleep with the sliding doors open and listen to the waves. I'm not a sunrise girl, but like to get up and watch the sun come out of the ocean!!!
We are in Orlando for three days at a time share sales pitch...of course we won't be buying in...but, three nights at a resort for $169 I'll listen to their chatter. Head out to Cape Coral in the morning for two months! Have already looked into classes at my favorite quilt shop. Just to make friends and enjoy the company of gals who enjoy quilting. They will fill me in on where the farmer's markets are and best fish markets, etc. Can't wait. Sending everyone in the cold sunny thoughts!

Soak up the sun and enjoy, Pam!
Enjoy Florida and keep us posted on the quilt shops and farmer's markets!
Fun, fun times! We'll look forward to hearing of your adventures and what projects you decide on at the quilt shops. If Barbara didn't peg the guilt meter, I won't share what weather we're "enjoying" here either. :D Good time for me to be indoors quilting away on the train quilt. It is coming right along - and feels good. Mmmmm probably not as good as warm weather and beaches, but... in the meantime, work on that tan and brush up on your Buffet song lyrics for when we all come join you.
Happy for you! No escapes for us this winter since DH just had a foot surgery that will keep him off the foot for 3 months. Hope to make up for it in the fall. Enjoy your quilt classes and please share fun projects and stories!
I envy you! We don't have snow, but the temps are cold as all get out!
Oh Pam! Soak up some warmth for me. Like Sharon said, snow in our little corner of the country ~ even on Whidbey Island! At least none stuck on the main roads so easy driving taking hubby for radiation treatments. Was beautiful to see the fields covered in white with the swans and snow geese looking for food.
Enjoy your time, and remember "It's Five O'clock Somewhere!"
Gee, Barbara, are you trying to make Pam feel bad for leaving the rest of us in the rain, snow & cold? Good girl!
Bask away in the Florida sunshine. This morning it was -15 at one point. Tomorrow we are supposed to hit 45--here slush, mud, and flooded intersections.
Hey, Floridian Quilters out there. Watch out for a New Yorker who has escaped from a snow storm. She most likely can be found in a quilt shop buying up your fabric. When you find her, tell her we don't want her "Sunny Thoughts". We want an invitation to her pad for the next two months.
