Hi!
I'm new to Quilt with Us, and I'm looking forward to getting to know other quilters here. By way of introduction, my name is Dena DALE Crain, because there's another textile artist in Austin, Texas, named Dena Crain!!
I'm the one who taught online quilt classes for Quilt University until it closed, then tried going solo with QuiltEd Online, and now I'm back again teaching this time for Academy of Quilting! Four of my classes are active now (well, they will be as soon as they open during the next couple of weeks), and I have at least four more to upload and one more hot one in mind to write!
I hope you'll introduce yourselves to me, check me out on my site, have a good look at my portfolio there, and follow my site's blog. That's where all the important stuff will be, and I'll use this blog to be more social.
Oh, by the way, I live in Kenya, at a place called Kampi ya Samaki on the western shore of Lake Baringo, so I'm an art quilter in Africa! You can google that and find it on a map, and look for listings of the local tourist facilities like Island Camp and Roberts Camp and Soi Safari Lodge to see photos of the area.
Thanks for welcoming me to Quilt with Us!!

Welcome,,,We can learn from people like you,,can't wait to see what you have to show us..
Welcome! Quilting really is world wide.
Welcome aboard! I look forward to your input here. Sounds like it will be interesting to follow your blog, as well as watching for you to post here.
Welcome, Dena Dale; it's always good to meet an experienced quilter who lives in a fascinating place!
It's always nice to see a new face and story. You sound like a very interesting person and live an interesting life. Welcome!
Welcome to QWU! How interesting to live in Kenya! We lived in Indonesia for five years, and that was fun.
I started writing stories for children in blog form in June, with a new one coming out each week. Here's the latest, but they're all there. It's a hobby, the stories are free and there's no advertising. My regular blog is mostly about my recent move, unless you go back in time, and then there are some lovely quilts made by some of the members of Vintage Stitchers, the minigroup I was in.
I especially enjoy hand-quilting and hand- appliqué.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of what you're up to.
Welcome! We're glad you're here. I've learned a lot and enjoyed the on-line friendships made here over the years.
Welcome to the forum. I took a lot of classes through QU. I felt so bad when the owner passed away. It has been a while since I signed up for a class through Academy of Quilting. I need to rectify that situation!
