Good day to everyone.. hope you made it thru the holidays all in one piece... i did.. i finally got my sons umbrella quilt done.. found out what it is called what i did fusible applique ... wow all i knew is that i had to get those umbrella pattern and i dont know where i learned it from but it worked out good.. only thing now he said it wasnt warm enough.. but he told me he wanted to use it the whole year.. so i used medium weight batting not high loft but not low..soo that way he can use it all year if he chooses too.. got the wedding quilt out and going to start making the other blocks to go with the signature blocks that their guests signed at their wedding.. going to make some other gifts too before vday and st pattys day.. dont know what i am going to do for easter/spring yet but been seeing alot of patterns so who knows.. got a bucket list of methods to learn like paper piecing this year and i am on a mission to learn how to do a mariners compass and dresden plate.. going to order this tumbler template and dvd from Nancy's notions i seen her program on pbs channel here so i decided that is the pattern i am going to use to make my youngest sons quilt.. with blues purple and black... then i want to make a black/white quilt for the other 25 yr old son of mine.. dont know what i am going to do yet for the other two.. one of them wanted a Washington Redskin quilt but the other day he told me wait cause they might change their name.. omg dont do this to me.. have me plan something then change it .. oh well.. life goes on.. going to be getting back to cold again here so i will have things to keep me busy for a few.. hugs to all and hope everyone keeps healthy as they can be and stay away fro those that have the flu it is going around like wildfires..
