Marianne-You definitely want to visit the Thousand Islands and Boldt Castle in Alex Bay. Central NY has some of the best small towns and shops. We live outside of Syracuse and there many wonderful lakes to rent a camp and stay a few days. Get a book called the Backroads and Byways of Upstate NY on Amazon. It will give you several ideas! Good luck and enjoy your visit!

Hello to all my guilty friends around the world and want to wish you all every blessings, peace and joy for the coming year together with a huge dump of Good Health.

We are going to Pennsylvania in April this year and spending a week prior to us going to our address in Pennsylvania,  so any help in what we should not miss in New York .  Any advice would be much appreciated.

Just taken the cards down and decks in the loft for another year. Xxxx

I wouldn't be able to shop with you Barb...that reward system for being good would get me every time!

That's about right!  I'm sure I could make a better dent in my stash if only those darn quilt shops didn't entice me with those "sales."  Have you seen some of those new digitally printed fabrics?  Hold me back!  Actually, I have made a noticeable dent in my stash this past year.  Maybe I need to reward myself!

Pam, I know what you mean about the cold just not being friendly any more.  We have been in MO for 10 yrs & every year we say we need to move back to where it is warmer.  The cold in Las Vegas is very cold due to the low humidity, but at least it only last about a month or so.  My goal for 2019 is to use up as many of my scraps as I can.  I swear those suckers co-mingle when the lights are out & create more little scraps!  Maybe I need to have lights installed inside my storage closet.  <grin>

Love it! like others, I am trying to work from my stash. I have found that I never have the right size cut to use it all up or big enough for what I need. I hope the weather cooperates for your journey south.

I am cleaning out my sewing room today...long overdue! I too am working on only using my stash. We will be leaving in about three weeks for Fl. Can't wait...this cold is just not friendly anymore!

New Years Blessing to you also.  I like your post. I use to go on bus trips to fabric stores. I can relate to this. lol. I'm trying to use up fabric that I bought on those trips but I don't think I will live long enough to use it all.  I pity anyone who has to clean out my sewing room when I depart this world. Have a good Winter in Fla. You must be getting ready to go shortly.
