Hi everyone, hope you are well and don't catch any of the nasty flu that is going around. I lost 2 cousins last week from the flu, one was 79 and the other 85 and neither should have died from it but they did. It really scares me but I will just keep myself away from crowds and hope my daughter doesn't bring any nasty germs home from work. I just saw cousin Louis on Wed, we were all at a Wake for Dorothy and on Sat he died.

Still working on the quilt for my sweet GD, hope to get it done for her birthday in June. Well better get back to it.

Sorry to hear about your cousins.  The flu has been bad here also.  I work in a grocery store and see all kinds of sick people coming through my line.  Wish they would stay home.  The weather doesn't help either.  We had bitter cold, now it is 60 degrees outside at this very moment.  Guess it is going to be a record for this time of year.  Then, later on it is suppose to drop back down to cold again.  Wish it would make up its mind.  lol

My condolences on the death of your relatives.  The hospitals here are full of flu victims and they are making the staff and visitors wear masks.  I stay home as much as I can and shop during the early morning late evening hours to avoid crowds.  And like Pam said I wash my hands many times throughout the day and carry hand sanitizer with me.

Sorry to hear such sad news. There are lots of nasty germs. My husband was sick for nearly three weeks after shaking hands with someone at church. It spreads so easily. Take care.

Dawn so sorry to hear about your losses.  I think that it is sad that the flu has been so dreadful this year.  As Pam said, everyone should be sure to wash their hands and even stay home when sick or feeling poorly.

The flu has been really bad this year. I got my flu shot, but have been sick twice: once with a bad cold that lasted for three weeks, then stomach flu over Christmas and my birthday. People who don't feel well should stay home! We expect older people to die, but when they're in good health and die a few days later, it's shocking. I'm glad you have your quilting for solace!

So sorry for your loss.

So very sorry for your loss...this has been a rough year for illness, especially for the young and elderly. We can only try to keep healthy and wash those hands.
