I made a quilt for a friends gd, and sent it to her a few weeks ago.  I haven't heard anything from her about receiving the package.  Should I ask her about it or let it go.  I would like to know if it arrived or not.  Her dd lives in Australia, & are supposed to visit this mo., & the possibility that she can't take it home crossed my mind.  That would be ok, I would understand.  She could sell it & put the cash in a college fund...........

Oh, ask for sure.. It's very hard after putting so much work and love into something so special, no to know if they have even received it!

I ship quilts over sea all the time, I always check after 10 day until it's in there hands, so I would just ask her if the package made it ok.

All's well that ends well.

I messaged my friend on FB & got a reply this evening.  They received the quilt & were very pleased with it.  She's just to busy kissing on that baby to think about other things.  I've been promised a pic of the little one on the quilt.

I would still check it out .... I sent my Step GD a present and I know she got it.  DD said that they gave her the Thank you notes and postage to send TK and I still have not recieved a TK.  Younger people just do not get the need for us to recieve some kind of acknowledgement.

Enid, I would definately ask if she received it.  This month alone, two packages were left at the wrong address in my neighborhood.  I received a package that belonged to a neighbor and a package I was expecting was delivered to a home around the corner on another street.  In both cases, we knew each other but this is a small town.  It could happen in a big city where neighbors don't know each other.

I think that you should still inquire about the receipt of the quilt even though you already know that it was delivered.  You spent precious time and money on a very thoughtful gift  and you deserve to be acknowledged or just know that it got to the intended recipient .

I agree. Better to know. However it is your choice. It depends how important it is to you. :o)

Well, you could pretend you don't know whether it was delivered or not, if you want to find out what is going on with her -- Or you could just let it go.  Perhaps she is expecting her daughter to thank you for the gift, and didn't think to acknowledge receipt.

I used the USPS tracker and it was delivered.  Just thought she was the kind of person that would acknowledge.
