Cannot believe it has been so long since I have been on this site! Wow! I have finished a tilting blocks quilt which I gave to my youngest daughter for her birthday. She recently got married at Myrtle beach and we all had a great time. The bride was beautiful and the groom handsome. And the quests were jovial and happy. When the happy couple had their first dance as a married couple Mitch (groom) dipped Kaleigh (bride) and dropped her! We have a picture of it and you should see the look on his face! She bounced right back up and finished the dance! You gotta love em.

Have you ever looked at your stash and thought to yourself "How could I not have the right color". Or you do have the right color (eureka!) but the only place you can find it is in your scrap box in little bitty pieces? Can any of you go by a fabric shop and really GO BY IT? Or do you have to go in to just look? Who do we think we are fooling? I no longer by material in 1/2 yard pieces. Now I buy in 2 yard pieces because, well, just because. You never know when some manufacturer is going to discontinue something, right? When I have a crappy day I go to my sewing room and pull out fabric to just look at it. The colors and designs lift my spirit and many times inspire me to begin a new project. Celeste, my oldest, comes to my house for supplies when she is crafting. She says it is better than going to Joanns. I even bag it for her!

I hope to be able to post both pics of my very first quilt and also wedding pics. I am not very computer literate please be patient while I work through my mistakes!  I want to soon work on my second quilt for my oldest daughter. Her birthday is in August. Slow and steady wins the race, right?

Maybe that's why that "in sickness and in health" is in the vows?  ;)  Hope she's not had any bad aftereffects from the drop!

I'm sure everyone had a great laugh afterwards! Marriage has it's ups and downs...right?

That had to make everyone gasp, including the mother of the bride. The story will become part of the family history. Glad no one got hurt.

Memories are made of these.  :)  They'll talk about it for years to come.

Glad your back, sounds like you have been a busy gal.  The wedding sounds nice.  I have been to several weddings when the unexpected happened making the day a bit more entertaining. lol  I'm glad your daughter didn't get hurt in the mishap.  Are we going to see pictures of your quilt and the wedding?
