Can't believe how long it has been since I posted here. Have been doing more knitting - but finally signed up for a quilting class - well, a set of 3 classes - one a month. it is a scraps and strings class using dryer sheets for the foundation pieces. Should be lots of fun!! I have a jelly roll that I will be using - not sure where i got it, but has some great colors.

Comment by Barb/Oregon on July 13, 2012 at 10:37pm They suggest the non-scented sheets from Safeway. They say to wash, dry and press before the class.
Comment by Cindy on July 13, 2012 at 10:31pm New or used dryer sheets. I would think new ones would be very overwhelming fragrance wise to sew on, not to mention allergies to some of them. I can see using the ones that have already been through the dryer. Hmmmm, very interesting. Would like to hear more about this.
We've missed hearing from you! Glad to know that you've just been busy, like us all. Those classes sound like lots of fun, and using the dryer sheets for foundation is a clever and useful idea. You will have to keep us posted on all that you learn.
Have fun in your classes Barb.
