Quilt With Us

A couple of friends braved our muddy roads and came out to help me pin-baste one quilt and tie another. My mom and a couple of nieces came over, too. We started about mid-morning and were able to get the first quilt pin-basted before time to get dinner on for the men who were sorting and moving cattle. Then we started in on the tied quilt after dinner and finished it mid-afternoon. It was a fun day to sit around the quilt frame and visit. Now all that's left is getting my living room back in order.

My daughter is heading home from college and I'm looking forward to seeing her. We'll go into town for a Good Friday church service this evening. It will be a nice way to end the day. Hope you have all had a good day, too. PQ

Your blog is so interesting--you should write a book about your experiences on the ranch, quilting bees, etc.--the things we townies read about and experience vicariously!!

Brings back memories of how my mother would baste a quilt, then my aunts and cousins would come one day and quilt. Usually had some kind of soup and sandwiches for lunch. And lots of visiting.
