As a lot of you know, I am the co-owner of some groups here on QWU. I do block swaps with 2 of my groups, which I dearly love to do. However, one request I have is that if you sign up to participate in a swap, but later change your mind (or even decide to leave the group for whatever reason), please be courteous enough to let the listowners or at least the swap hostess know that you will not be following through on your commitment. With the cost of postage and fabric being what it is today, it is very disheartening to make a block for someone and then find out later that they have left the group without saying anything. It is even worse if you have already mailed a block to a person who has no intention of sending a block to anyone else on the list! I know we all leave groups for various reasons, and that is perfectly fine. You are not even obligated to give a reason why. Just a simple "I have decided to leave the group and therefore won't be sending out any blocks for "x" swap will be sufficient and the right thing to do.
