Quilt With Us

My husband and I had my parents over for dinner. We had such a wonderful time with them. They are in their 80's and they still are full of life. I only hope that when we reach their age we'll be as active as they are. I had embroidered a pillow for my mom that said Mother and had a tea pot on it. It turned out so cute that I couldn't believe that I made it. She loved the pillow so much that it made me happy that I actually came up with something that she would love.

After dinner we of course had to have ice cream cake from Dairy Queen...LOL

Than I showed her the bag that I had made and she couldn't stop saying how much she loved it. So I gave that to her too. It felt so good to give the first thing that I ever quilted to my mom. She even loved all of my mistakes and that made me feel even better. MOM's are the best.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL.....

Am go happy for you that you were able to spend such a lovely day with your Mom/parents! Cherished memories!! You made a bag - I haven't attempted such as yet.....kind of cold feet about it! Michigan is my home state, now in MO. Nice to read your story.

What a special day! Thank you for sharing it with us. Those memories are priceless and I'm so glad it went so well. When we put our hearts into the things we make, it is nice when others recognize that and appreciate the love that went into them. I'm so glad she was excited over your gifts. Blessings, PQ
