There is a Lady among us name Diane Gunther she is from Delburne Alberta Canada - she has been and still is a friend to many of us - I want to share an article that was published in the Delburne voice about her - here it goes
The Village of Delburne is proud to award Diane Gunter the `Small Town Hero Award`. This award will be given each year to a
worthy Delburne Community Minded person. Diane is a relatively new resident who moved here about two years ago from Calgary
with her husband Geoff and two sons. She has become an example of what we all should try to be. Diane volunteers for
the School Breakfast Program, School Hot Lunch Program, Victim Services, etc the list goes on….Diane is always willing to help at
a moments notice with a smile on her face. Diane has been a foster parent for over thirty years while raising her own two children,
Becky and Peter. Diane is an avid quilter and loves to share this passion with everyone. When asked to donate to a worthy
cause, Diane is the first to offer a beautiful quilted creation. Diane is known at the Delburne School for all her fresh baking and
other delicious items she creates for the kids. In addition, Diane is happy to provide fresh, homemade goodies to local businesses—
just because she can!! The Village is grateful that the Gunter Family has chosen Delburne for their home. People like
Diane are an asset to the community where volunteers are hard to find. Diane never says No and puts her heart and soul into
everything that she does!! Thanks Diane, your work never goes unnoticed!!!
this was published in September - I think she deserves a big hugs kisses and applaud and....
thank you Diane
