Quilt With Us

Tonight was the night of my monthly guild meeting.  We take turns bringing the meal each month, usually about three ladies each month.  I spent all day making lasagna for 30 people.  I was a little early.  My month was April.....sigh.

If I had been there I would have tried to hide your mistake - by eating the evidence.  Sounds so good!

Well, they wound up eating it--at least a pretty good portion of it.  Some went home with people for supper today or husbands' lunches, and  I have enough for our dinner tonight.  It worked out fine, and I got a phone call from one of the ladies who was *supposed* to be doing refreshments saying she was so glad I turned up with it b/c she had worried all day about not having enough.  :)

I am sorry that it was early but please don't leave us in suspense, Did you get to freezeit or did they eat it?

Wow! You bring a whole dinner!  Our guild requires bringing "something" to share as refreshments for the month in which your birthday falls.  February is mine.  I was beginning to feel a little put upon until you mentioned a meal.  (Of course, my guild has nearly 200 members - depending on the month that can be a lot of refreshments!)

Gosh, it looks like we can all relate to this...misery loves company :-D  Just think how easy it will be to prepare for the April meeting.

Ah, Joana, welcome to the world of the calendar challenged. I hope you were able to keep them from eating it so you could freeze it for next month.

Oh, no!!! I was looking at all the lasagne you were making yesterday on your blog.  I can't imagine all the work you went to just find out your were early.  Freeze it until the April meeting.

A couple of months ago I went to my beautician and said to her when I went in, "I know I'm early but don't feel like I'm rushing you".  She said "don't worry your appointment isn't until tomorrow". lol  Last Summer I went to guild and wondered where everyone was.  When they didn't show up at all I realized guild wasn't for another week.  So join the club kiddo, it's kind of fun in this little world of our own.

Oh Joana!  I'm so sorry, but look at the wonderful goodies you have to freeze and use next month!  You are already to go!  Now you can use that time to quilt!  Good for you!  We have all been there, so welcome to our exclusive club!  Glad you came aboard!

Lasagna freezes well. LOL Welcome to the club.  Did this with cookies once for my daughters Blue Bird group.
