Quilt With Us

This weekend I accomplished much, but not all of what I wanted. It's finally warm enough here in the NW to plant tomatoes, so I had fun with the local high school students picking out which plants to buy. They were at the farmers market and all their plants were grown by the students!

I love Spring through Fall when I can go to the farmers markets for fresh produce, but there hadn't been any yet - just plants and crafts. So I was very excited to pick up a few locally grown veggies and a beautiful bouquet of flowers!

Still working on the wedding quilt (the wedding is Memorial Day weekend). But now I can see the light - I finished machine quilting it, got the binding machine sewn down, and at our Forget Me Knots quilt guild play date, got half the binding hand sewn down. woohoo!

Karen, how can I drop groups from my list? I went to my page and tried to edit but was unsuccessful. I'min a couple that are inactive and I'd just as soon drop them from my list.

BJ, I've been going to the downtown Vancouver one. But I've been known to hit 2 or 3 markets when something is in season and I want more! :)

Do you go to the one in Beaverton? Your produce looks wonderful! Yum yum. I made some fresh asparagus soup last week that was really great. Our Farmer's Market started two weekends ago, so I will soon be heading there after church on Sunday's for fresh stuff this side of the mountains.
Sounds like you are making great progress on your wedding quilt and other projects. It's always nice when that light at the end of the tunnel gets brighter and brighter.

Your trip to the farmers market looks like mine!! Asparagus, salad, radishes, and some fresh bread was in my basket! Gotta love the summer.

wow those look wonderful. I wish it would warm up here enough to plant. I also did plant shopping this weekend, but it's too cold still.
