Comment by Amanda Best on February 5, 2013 at 10:50am I thought I was the only one who had a neck warmer sewing companion! My kitty is a grey tabby, who loves to surprise me when sewing. He loves to squish his nose in my hair and give me quite a start. All my wonky seams I can blame on him, right? There sure isn't a dull moment with the little monsters!
I love your new/old sewing machine. What a cute and clever design. I hope it works wonderfully for you when you get a chance to try it out!

We had one cat who loved to get in the car and would sit atop the back of the driver's seat. Of course, I am way too short so people would usually see a black cat 'driving' from behind, and they'd pull alongside me to take a look.
Comment by Pam/NY on February 5, 2013 at 4:25am Your kitty looks like it is really interested in what you're doing...they are entertaining!
Comment by Mary, Tewksbury MA on February 5, 2013 at 3:58am Your own personal neck warmer, pretty sweet.
Had a dog named Annie, black Lab/Bassett mix ,who liked to crawl into bed with me and stretch out her back to mine when I was pregnant with my first. I was working as staff RN on night shift and her hot little back next to mine was wonderful. She seemed to know I needed a little TLC after a long night.
Comment by Carol Ann Hinton on February 4, 2013 at 8:35pm My black male with the bit of white on his chest was "Beau". He was a born lap-sitter! Loved it when I was pregnant, sitting on the baby-bump when I was in the recliner, purring away. Good memories.
He is adorable. I had one named Smokey yrs ago. He was the sweetest cat.
