Quilt With Us

Finally finished the quilt for grandson Aiden.  He picked out the floral print and the white fabric in the center of the blue blocks.  Sense they didn't quite go together I came up with this design and used the fabrics Aiden liked.  I hope that I will be able to get this quilted before christmas.  I start this project using a light blue that I ran out of after making half the blocks I needed.  Once I found the turquoise color I decided to start over and worked out the quilt below.  As for the blocks that I didn't use, well I do have 2 grandsons so I've come up with an idea to use the other blocks.  After all at their age of 6 and 3 you can't give one to one of the kids without having one for the other.

Beautiful! I have discovered the "make one--need three" with my grandchildren as well. It is impossible for me to explain to a little one why one of the siblings is getting something special. Luckily I only have 3.

Very nice!  Aidan will always remember that you used his choices, making this quilt even more precious to him.

Beautiful...it's fun to let them be part of a project!
