I have lately been avoiding taking classes through the guild because they all seem to wind up adding a UFO to my pile. I said I would not start one project until I finished at least two significant UFOs that haunt my sewing room.
I have been working to that goal for a while now but this month I am taking a non-sewing class! The class is about drafting quilting designs that fit specific areas of your quilt! I've been working very hard at improving my FMQ skills so I don't have to send out every top I complete and I figured this would help add more "me" to my work - not always using someone else's designs and patterns. I won't have to purchase stencils that may or may not fit and the designs will be my own. I'm really excited and I love learning new things.
