Quilt With Us

I participated in the group Project Robins Hope...honoring the wish of Robin Lehold to make 100 quilts for soldiers by the end of Febr.. This week they were at 86 and asked if anyone could make another. I made one in May. Several quilters have made several gorgeous quilts. So, I made this one....I was honored to be a part of a wonderful goal. I will say, that I can understand that many would have liked to participated but the cost of shipping cross country in insane. It cost me $37 to UPS a xerox box to Oregon. Along with the cost of fabric, it can prevent many from being able to help.

BTW, forgot to say what a beautiful job you've done again.

Pam I found it much less expensive to ship through the post office. A fraction of UPS or Fed-Ex. And through the post office (at least ours) when shipping quilts for the military they give a discount on postage. Just don't seal the box prior as they need to see that they are quilts. Also one quilt of this size will fit in their large flat rate box for $16.95. Sorry I didn't share this info before everyone began sending their quilts to Robin. Hopefully it helps someone.

Beautiful patriotic quilt, Pam. This was a great cause honoring those who give of themselves to protect us. Great job.

You are so right about postage. It is insane and does prevent so many from being able to do these things.  I know with our very limited income now I have had to cut down on how many things I participate in that require mailing something.

Your quilt is awesome and I know Robin will love it. I hope they make the 100 goal.

It is beautiful Pam.  You are sure right about the cost of postage!  Between that & the cost of fabric & thread, I have had to cut way back on participating in online swaps.
