I am a lucky woman. Knowing how badly I wanted to get to my sewing room, my DH offered to "help me out" with "my" morning chores. I took him up on that and sent him upstairs to vacuum. Later I found a pile of my folded clothes on the dresser. I grabbed a pair of socks, put the rest away, showered and dressed. Then I decided to start the laundry - but I couldn't find it. Yup, DH had folded and put away an entire load of dirty clothes! Oh well, gotta love 'em. And gotta change my socks!

Comment by Linda "Sue" Robertson, TN on February 21, 2013 at 8:04pm Terry I love this story!!! I laughed out loud. Real life brings about the funniest situations and brings laughter to our hearts!! Thanks for sharing with us!!
Terry that is a man after my heart. My DH does nothing and therefore he cannot get into trouble for doing something wrong. LOL
Comment by Carol Ann Hinton on February 20, 2013 at 1:13pm DH helps with the laundry (occasionally), but I will not allow him to sort! When I was down with my knee surgeries, the darndest things got washed together! No permanent damage, but I could not comprehend his thinking process! Jeans and pillowcases ...hmm.
He also does what Debbie's DH does with dishes, but in reverse. I have caught him loading dirty dishes into a dishwasher nearly full of just cleaned dishes! (You'd think he's notice the steam!) Now I hurry to get them back up into the cupboards as soon as they are finished.
Comment by Gay Kennedy on February 20, 2013 at 10:32am How sweet of him! Even though it was dirty laundry, my heart rejoices with a hubby that helps.
I was sewing one Saturday and my DH came downstairs to see if I might be ready for something to eat. I told him I had some pork chops thawed and would be up in just a bit to start it. He said "no, I just wondered if you would be ready when it's done" He fixed pork chops, potatoes, gravy and green beans. Yummy and even told me to go back to sewing and cleaned up!
Comment by Mary, Tewksbury MA on February 20, 2013 at 10:10am My husband has done this- hard to get mad when they're trying to help. Of course my question is if he can't tell clean from dirty, why am I even doing his laundry??
Comment by B J Elder/WA on February 20, 2013 at 8:36am LOLOL - It's great he was so willing to "help". A keeper indeed.
Comment by Debbie Snyder/WA on February 20, 2013 at 8:15am He's a keeper...just for having the iniative in my book. This same kinda of thing has happen with me but with the dishwaher. DH put away a load of dirty dishes and silverware. Now I pay attention to "most" of the things in the dishwasher so I can undo his work or I just make a point to not have any company over for several days as I know we will most likely get thru all the Hidden dirties that I missed. Great story by the way...loved the morning giggle.
