Quilt With Us

I had a great week overall.  I did some indoor domestic 'stuff'.  You know, that stuff we crafters always put off.  I really did not spend anytime outdoors.  My husband was doing some burning of the cut off limbs from a hedge that had gotten out of control.  He has cut them down to about 3 foot tall.  They had been some 8 foot high, with all types of vines and baby trees growing up through it.  It was totally unruly.  When it grows back, it should be really nice.

Tuesday we went to watch our grandson (16 y/o) in a district tennis tournament.  He plays team boys' and they won 5th place.  I am so proud of him.  He just started playing tennis a little over a year ago.  His form and accuracy has greatly improved.

On Wednesday, the young lady I am teaching to quilt came over.  She finally got the binding sewn on to one side of the quilt.  I will be hand sewing it to the other side.  She has a full plate, single Mom, works, and goes to college.  I hope to have it finished by Eastere.  It is between a queen and king size masterpiece.  I will also be hand sewing on her label.

Thursday was prayer bible study.  I am so glad I was up to attend.  It had been too long.  We meet every other week.  And I had not attended since before I went to watch the grandson in March.  There was one meeting that was cancelled.

Friday, I prepared to embroider 2 bunny ears for Easter.  I seam ripped the inner ear.  I did not want the embroidery to show on the back of the ear.  I also made the label for the quilt.  We also did a Wal-Mart, Lowe's, grocery store run.  Boy that about did me in.  That was a bit much for my aching back, but I survived.

Saturday I started to hand sew the binding.  That is a daunting task, but I hope to get it done by this weekend.  I want to surprise her with it for Easter.

Oh, on Thursday, I got an email about the little stuffed owls and bunnies that I offered to make for the church.  They graciously said no.  That is ok, I have my plate full.

So you see, it was a mix of a week.

May all of you have a Spirit Led week,

Blessing to all.

Jesus is the reason for the season.  We are so blessed.

If they had decided that they wanted some stuffies, I would have had to decline.  It was really too late to get anything done.

I think at this point, my back is ok.  But if I do a lot of walking (shopping) or stooping type actions, that is when it bothers me.  I am also stiff if I sit too long.  I just need to make myself get up and move.

Glad you finally heard back from the church.  At this late date its a good thing they declined your offer.  Sounds like your back is still not healed, but you've managed to stay busy and get a lot done inspire of it.
