Audio book contest AND I need book reviewers

Hello from snowy Kansas! We could get up to a foot of snow before this storm is over, but I’m staying warm and cozy in my office today. Luckily the electricity is still on and I’m typing away, while watching the snowy scene just outside my window.

I have three bird feeders right outside my office window. I took the window screens off, and have a bench right up against the window so my male cat, “Gray Cat” can sit and watch all the birds- while only being a few inches from the action.

Occasionally he’ll forget himself and lunges for a bird, but he usually just sits enthralled there for quite a while- until it’s time to take another nap.

Carol,

I'm feeding sunflower seeds to our winter birds of finches and juncos. I don't have any hummingbird feeders out now as the hummingbirds go south this time of year. They're smart to get out of this sub-zero cold!

Linda,  how do you keep the hummingbird feeders from freezing?

Yes, this picture is a good idea for a quilt. I love that I caught some of the birds in mid-flight. The birds were back in the feeder today after the storm. I opened up the window and tossed more sunflowers in the tray feeder. They went through eight cups of seed today.

I love the photo of the cat and the birds. It would make a great quilt!

Love the birds at the feeder. Poor Grey Cat. He can only look. Lucky for the birds though. Enjoy that pretty view.

Thanks for the notes back Mary and Pam. We ended up with about 10 inches of snow, but then it blew hard last night, so had some major drifts in front of the garage (of course). We even had a sundog this morning, which was unusual for here. Look for more photos on my Facebook page.
