Quilt With Us

Any one up for a UFO Challenge? I started a discussion in Karen's UFO Group since I can't seem to get myself going. Are you tired of saying you are going to work on a dreaded UFO and not doing it? Join in if you want to accept the challenge and see if you can accomplish your goal by the end of August. The rules are your own. Let us know what you are going to do and then show your progress. I am going to finish my Indigo Stars Quilt that I started last year at a retreat and haven't touched since. Maybe writing it down will make it happen!

Since April of this year I have been having my large collection of finished quilt tops quilted by a great gal in VA and I am entering 5 of them in Furnace Town's Quilt Show on Sept.19 and 20. The first show was 2 years ago and was very successful, it is held outdoors. They have several famous quilters and authors give lectures and give classes during that week. This show has inspired me to finish my UFO's, what a waste to have them sit in an attic for no one to see and appreciate.

I haven't started my SBS quilt yet! I thought I was the only straggler left. Good to know I have company.

Count me in. I have been trying to get some old Thimbleberry Club quilts complete. I am currently working on the 2005 Sunrise/Sunset quilts (2 small lap quilts). I'd love to have them both done by the end of the month. The sunset is almost done...on to Sunrise. Thanks for the challenge. Good luck to you all!

I sure need something to get me going. I have a quilt that my DH picked the pattern and the fabric last July that he asked I do for him. It's the first time he asked that I do something for him. But the pattern is an absolute pain to piece (it doesn't look that way, but the seams have to be pressed just so or the seams don't line up), so I can't get into it. I'd like to get it done this month, so I would have time to get it quilted for him as a Christmas gift.

I'm with you too. I will be working at finishing a baby quilt for my DD. Have another one in the wings to do so I better get busy. Happy quilting, Marjorie
