Quilt With Us

An old friend from high school had a baby girl a few weeks ago, so I made baby shoes for her daughter!

I used the pattern that polkadot had posted a link to in our "Quilting & Sewing for Baby Quilt Along." The pattern is here. They were very fun to make. Christina came over one Saturday and we both made a pair for future babies, but both of the babies have been born, and I don't think either one of us has actually gifted the shoes yet! Oh, well. So easy, and they require such a small amount of fabric. Both pairs took less than a fat quarter. I was able to make my son a larger pair with the leftover blue fabric (no photo of those because they're already covered in paint!)

My friend Chelsea came over Monday night to craft and watch the Michigan State game (not good!). The Spartans didn't win, but I helped her make a pair of these shoes! She started and finished them in one night, and she's a beginner. I highly recommend the pattern.

These baby shoes are adorable. I printed the pattern. My best friend's daughter just had a baby and her christening is next week, this would be the perfect present. Thanks for sharing. Gina
