Boy, have not been here for a very long time. I was knitting for Christmas, but I think i would rather quilt. Got out an unfinished quilt this past weekend and am now tying it. Then need to bind it so I can put in on my bed.
Last night did some hand piecing on a pattern I started many moons ago. Found it on connectingthreads.com and it is the Perfect Points Sampler by Ann Johnson. I am not very good, but am learning - so need to get busy with it.

Comment by Barb/WI on January 8, 2013 at 5:35am Must be that time of year when we can put Christmas stresses behind us, relax, and try to reorganize both our thoughts, and our projects. I'm also thinking it is time to work on something still in that learning stage.

Comment by Pam/NY on January 7, 2013 at 2:19pm We are all still learning...someone is always coming up with a new and easier method! Sounds like everyone is trying to finish up some old projects before starting something new!
Comment by Linda Christianson on January 7, 2013 at 10:37am I am still learning too! I was having a hard time seeing my black thread as it was sewn. I posted my problem. Just use a lighter color. Does help and especially during the ripping! It was also suggested a better light. I robbed my husband's light; the one mom had given me years ago, the kind that is just like daylight. Now I think he was going blind before me, only he does not wish to say and just like he now ask me to repeat everything. Is he not listening or can not hear?
Back to the projects, as I have been going through the tubs I find a tub full of blocks left from many projects, often ones that really don't look good either. Why do I hang on to them? Never mind that it was not a work of wonderful art; this year I too am going to finish projects.
