Quilt With Us

I have been in a few swaps all over the internet a couple of them have been with mini quilts. I have made a couple and got a couple in between that are just lovely I thought I would share them I do have a mini group here that really had gone dormant but the slide show is amazing if anyone would like to see you may have to make yourself a member to see them I had done it that way and now wish I could change it. but not sure how.

The Redwork was for making a mini before 1910 so I went with redwork with a little piecing the pinwheels are 1in hand stitched and quilted machine pieced.

Then I took one of the blocks out of the 501 quilt blocks book and made this one using the civil war fabric as per the swap request. This one was hand quilted by machine pieced

Thanks all for your comments. You are right PQ about precision you can see everything on a mini! Joanna we have good gardens this year due to all the lovely rain we have been getting. Ally I know that Carol Doake has some great mini patterns for paper piecing!

Love both minis!  You're inspiring me to get busy on one.

I love the civil war mini. The paisley border is so pretty. Nice job!

These are lovely.  I think minis are great, but I agree with PQ about the importance of precision.

Your minis are wonderful!  The one thing I've learned about minis - precision is a must.

Love the red work one, tried my hand at one of those. The only miniature quilt I have made was paper pieced.
