Quilt With Us

I'm finally back to my quilting projects after many weeks away! Holiday company and travels took up two weeks in late December. Then studying income tax law and software took up most of 3 weeks in January! I teach a refresher class for a local group of AARP TaxAide volunteers. I spent many hours reviewing and learning what is new this year in order to be able to explain it to 12 students. Very intense and stressful! (But wonderful brain exercise!)
As promised, I finally posted a couple of pictures of my granddaughter with her taggie blankie. These were taken right after I gave it to her, so she hadn't quite figured it out yet. We decided it made a great hat, tho!
I'm currently working on a little Sunbonnet Sue quilt that has lots of colors in it. Trying to find just the right fabric for sashing was tricky. With the help of a quilt shop owner, I think I found a good one! Now to decide on the sashing style! I made sure I bought plenty of fabric for whatever I choose to do. The leftovers can always find their way into one of my scrappy projects! Hope your quilting projects are keeping you warm!

The taggie is cute, but the granddaughter.... she is so adorable! How fun! Sounds like you are very busy right now. Glad you are taking some time for the joy of quilting!

I love the taggie blankie. What a great idea for a little one to haul around.
