Quilt With Us

Well I haven't had one this bad in a long time. The whole week was bad which should have been a sign. Anyway I started sewing on Saturday wanting to get some of the birds in the air blocks done, only to realize that the half square triangles were turned the wrong way. so I started ripping seams. Yuck! So today I figured that I would start piecing the mystery quilt. Everything was going together nice until it was time to piece the blocks together when I realized that once again the half square triangles were turned the wrong way. More ripper. Double Yuck! I'm beginning to think that this is a sign to stay out of my sewing room for the rest of the weekend. I guess I'll give hand work a try. hopefully I won't have to rip anything out. Not to worry sewing room I'll be back next weekend or sooner!

I don't think it was bathroom bad but pretty close. Lol. I'm taking an extra weekend to go visit with Mom just in case. Thanks to all of you for putting a smile on my face I needed it.

Boy do I understand, as I am sure a great many of us do................ I have to walk away, or it just gets worse at the time goes by...... seems I learn the "hard" way. LOL

Good luck with your next weekend, I am sure it will be tons better!

Bathroom cleaning is extreme--brought on only by a really frustrating sewing session. Hopefully it was not, nor will it ever be that bad.

CLEANING THE BATHROOM!!! I think that's going a bit far, if you ask me.

Unfortunate. There are some times it is better just to walk away and have more fun cleaning the bathroom.

Several yrs ago I made a Bear's Paw quilt.  After the entire top was pieced (20 blocks & sashing strips in between), my friend pointed out to me that 2 of the hsts were turned 1/4 turn.  What I had done was made a block and then laid it next to my machine so I could duplicate it.  I didn't realize it at the time, but the 1st block had the mistake so every block ended up with the same mistake.  Instead of ripping it out I call it my "Broken Bear's Paw".

Time for a break, and some chocolate, I think!

I think when this happens, my sewing machine is telling me...You can do it better, just think! Been there so many times!

Yep, been there done that.  My nickname is THE QUEEN OF RIPPERS.  Not fun but we all have had days like that.  Hope it goes better for you when you return to it.
