Quilt With Us

I just realized that it's been too long since I've posted. My new puppy Hershel is now 18 months old and weighs 78 pounds. Ha!

I took 2 Judy Niemeyer classes this year and have yet to finish the quilt tops. I'm working on a Crabapple Quilts "Trim the Tree" as a present for my daughter. I'm still not done quilting my "Fanciful Flowers" quilt and my new grandson's memory quilt is still not finished and he is geting ready to turn 3.

And I thought retirement was going to be stress free. Double Ha!

Irene - that's purple sage. It blooms like that after it rains. It's one of my favorites.

Beautiful dog and I LOVE that bush behind him.

Thanks, he's my sweet puppy. He's such a love bug. But he is BIG. We got him from the humane society and he was only 6 weeks old. He was so small.  But that's OK. He's full of love and a good boy. He sits in my quilting room with me when I sew. Keeps me company. Plus he makes me get up every once in awhile to take him out which is great for my back and overall health. HA

Sounds like your busy doing fun things.  Do you have photo's of your 75 lb "puppy".  Would love to see him.  I'm sure you will get your quilt tops finished.  Winter is coming and things seem to slow down a bit.  (That is, after Christmas) for me anyway.

Retirement is a misnomer. It really means more work, without a paycheck.  Glad you're keeping busy.  Whenever I make a quilt for someone I simply tell the recipient "you'll get in winter" (I never say what year it will be).

Sounds like you are filling those retirement days up just fine!  I have to look up the Crabapple quilt - I usually like their stuff.  Better yet, I hope you post pictures soon!

That is a big "puppy"...love the name. Sounds like a lot of UFOs to finish up! It  will be so rewarding to finish them! I know what you mean about lack of time! lol
