Sorry for not getting on here more often. Not for lack of something to say! I have finished a couple quilts and wall hangings and numerous other things. Had a pretty good garden during the summer after it finally quit raining on us. Had a good fair in July with the 4-H horse group and loved Crystal's reaction to the graduation quilt I presented to her at her 4-H graduation ceremony. Canned a lot of tomatoes and green beans. Found a gardener down the road who grows tomatoes by the acre and sells them cheap, but the green beans came from my own garden. Made fig jam from my little tree and tried my hand at making tomato preserves from the yellow pear tomatoes like Mom used to make. The Roma tomatoes were roasted up in the oven and came out really tasty. I will be doing that again. Also making tote bags from the poly feed bags that animal feeds come in. Some of those have the neatest prints on them and they look lovely when done up with grommets. Now it is time to start gathering fabric and photo's for Marissa's graduation quilt. I am going to use the same pattern I used for Vanessa's quilt as it went together pretty quickly and I think I can get it done before graduation in June. It will be different colors, of course. Marissa likes neon green and orange, and she likes OSU and the Oakland Raiders Football team and camo. Never a dull moment around here! Hope everyone is keeping warm, staying in good health, and keeping busy! Life is short!
