I have been reading everyones blogs, but haven't commented too much. Last February 2012, my middle sister passed away, I wasn't ready to share until now, She had HER II breast cancer, she did fine with that for six years and than that darn cancer went to her colon, she was operated on for it, but it just spread so fast and passed away after a month, She lived in NJ, my other sister & me went up to see her for a week to help her out and I sewed her cushions for her kitchen set. After that she went to Fla and was supposed to get treated but she was too far advanced. My DH drove me to Fla to see her, than her family took her back to NJ to try another treatment but it ended up with her in Hopice for a week, I was lucky? to be able to stay with her for that week.
This April a friend from high school passed away, I was talking to her the week before planning with her to go to our 50th High School reunion. I went to NJ for her celabration of Life service, very nice, I got to see some high school NEW friends after 50 years, we all plan to go to the reunion in Oct. to honor our friend, who was excited to go to the reunion, we all felt that we really didn't feel like going, but I think that she would have wanted us to go and remember her.
Time does go so fast, my DH had trouble with his knees, we went to an Orthopedic and discoved that he has Lyme's diease, which affected his knees. He was in so much pain, It was a so sad seeing him come in the house during the day to sit in the easy chair to get some relief. My DH is a very busy man, he eats breakfast and goes out side to mow the lawn, weed wack, work on the boats, tractors (2). When he could not do what he wanted he organized all his tools, and believe me we have a garage full, plus a pole barn full of equiptment.
I have been making quilts, I just put some pics up on my page.
Thanks for letting me go on and on even if no one reads this it felt good.

I'm so sorry for your losses. Quilting can be therapy for you, I hope. We are here for you.
Thanks so much, ladies, quilters are the best people! Thanks
You've had quite a year. So glad that even though you haven't felt like posting you kept up with reading and seeing what is going on here. Know that we are here for you in good times and bad. Quilty hugs are just the best.
So glad you are checking in and have reached the place where you could share your heart. Sometimes just sharing the burden helps to lighten it. Together, we can help you carry it. So sorry to hear of your trials and losses. Quilting is good therapy.
Life sure can be cruel...sorry to hear that you loss so much. It is good to see you post once again. Small steps...
I am so sorry to hear you've had such a difficult year. I understand it taking a while before you felt like sharing. Those losses can sort of just wrap you up in your own private world for a while. I've had similar reactions dealing with the tough stuff. I'm glad I looked at the pictures on your page. You really have some wonderful quilts posted. Hope your husband recovers quickly from that Lyme's!
My sympathies to you in the loss of a sister and a friend; certainly a very difficult time. May God bring you peace.
Oh Patricia, what a rough year you have had. I am so sorry about your losses. To lose a sister and then a good friend has to be so difficult. I think you all should go to the reunion in your friend's memory. She would want you to attend and will be with you in spirit. I hope your husband gets relief from his knee pain. It is so hard when they can't do the things they want.
I just looked at your quilts; looks like you have been busy and for a good cause too! I looked again at the animal baby quilt and is just adorable. I hope you find comfort in your quilting; it is good therapy. Hugs and prayers.
