Quilt With Us

I just realized that I had forgotten to add a pic of my quilt that I finished yesterday.  I started this in a class in 1996 and put the last stitch in it yesterday afternoon! I hand quilted in the ditch using matching thread for the cubes so that I didn't risk messing up the 3D look and then quilted diamond shapes in the border using black thread.  Unfortunately, that means the quilting doesn't show up very well.  For the life of me I can't figure out why I waited so long to finish this quilt as it took me less than a month to hand quilt, bind & label it.  Oh well, as I said above, better late than never.  Here is a pic of it:

Beautiful!  You may have started in in 1996, but it's timeless.

Wow for sure. The blocks as stunning. Lovin' the colours against the black borders. Those blocks look as if they could jump off the quilt.

Beautiful! The cubes just jump out at you with the black border. Great job.

Our guild is having Sue Jones come and teach a class next month. I am planning on using up some of my red, white, cream and blue fabrics to make a twin size version but I really like yours. Also thought those brighter colors on a white background for a baby might look nice.

Robin, it was from a book by Sara Nephew.  Sara has now sold her rights to Marci Baker from Alicia's Attic and the pattern is still available there.  I do think there are several versions of this same concept around though.
