Quilt With Us

I'm currently on the 10th quilt, "Yellow Roses on the Barn".  It is a Log Cabin, in the barn-raising set, with appliqued roses in the center.  I have just made it down one side and have mitered the first corner -- it is a King Size!  I did most of it on Sunday while watching the start of the Iditarod dogsled race on my computer in the sewing room, but have been procrastinating a little since.  (DS lives in Alaska, and DDIL (to be) has run dog teams in races.)

Gotta get going -- two more are sitting here awaiting binding, and one of those, "Rock Collection", is also king-sized!  Yes, yes, photos will be posted as soon as I take them and download them from the camera into the computer.  I'm not very good at that so it takes me awhile.  I admire Peggy, the Monday morning blogger, who seems to be able to do this effortlessly.

Wow!  I hate the binding process...I think I would go crazy if I had a king size quilt to bind much less three.  Better do some hand exercises....Can't wait to see your photos.  hang in there.

Ha!  Nothing to admire here!  I brought this all on myself!  I have known for nearly two years that I had to finish some of these quilts in time for the Sun Country Quilt Show, and I just let the tops sit there while I diddled around with other projects.  Paying the price now...  I hate to think about the two more being quilted by the long arm quilter.  Maybe I won't get them back in time, ya' think?  March 28 is the deadline!

Wow, Carol Ann, that is a lot of binding, but it sure feels good to see them finished, doesn't it?!  I'm looking forward to seeing pics of the finished quilts.
