Not much of a creative title here -- more just descriptive. This is basically a panel, the most beautiful panel I have ever found! It's from a little shop on the Oregon coast, were DH and I vacationed for our 30th anniversary a couple of years ago. I had it up on my design wall for a long time considering what to do with it, and finally decided I couldn't bear to cut it up. Much hunting ensued for the exact fabrics to finish it. I trimmed off the partial outside floral border and added the solid teal border and purple berries print border, inserting the yellow ombre yellow to gold "3-D" flange between them. A mulberry binding finished it off.
I'm undecided about showing it -- there's not much fancy stitching here; it's all fabric selection. What do you think? Show or No Show? (It's going to end up at the mountain house.)

Show it! Show it! Show it! It is gorgeous! Hanging on the mountain house wall you will always have a beautiful scene to look at out that "window".
Comment by Prairie Quilter/NE on March 19, 2013 at 2:44pm I vote SHOW! I agree with Barbara's sentiment. Some quilts are not life works, but they are still wonderful and worthy to be shared. I'd think those at the quilt show will appreciate variety and simple beauty.
Comment by Shannon, ON on March 19, 2013 at 12:40pm simply gorgeous.
Comment by Mary, Tewksbury MA on March 19, 2013 at 11:04am Beautiful quilt no matter who quilted it. I agree, this is the most beautiful panel I've seen too.
Comment by Carol Ann Hinton on March 19, 2013 at 10:19am OK, ladies, it is here that I have to admit that I forgot mention that I did NOT quilt this. It was my long-arm quilter NICOLE who did such a beautiful job in not overwhelming the fabric. From not on, I will try to remember to tell you who quilted it!
I agree with the others - show it off! You did a great job on the quilting and everyone will enjoy seeing it.
Comment by Irene Gallway on March 19, 2013 at 9:19am I think you should definately show it. It's beautiful and inspires me to drag out a panel I have had for years and didn't know what to do with it.
Comment by Terry F on March 19, 2013 at 9:02am Oh my gosh, it's so pretty! It makes me feel peaceful and calm. Lovely selection and use of fabrics. Definitely show!
Comment by Barb/WI on March 19, 2013 at 8:43am I vote...SHOW! It is one of the prettiest panels I have ever seen, and you've done a beautiful job with it.
