Last February 26 my son was born. I made him a baby quilt that turned out really well. However, after getting to know him a bit more I decided he needed another, more grown up, quilt. I found the perfect pattern and the perfect fabric. It started out fast, but slowed down during the quilting. Recently I picked it up again, and as motivation my coworker suggested I finish it by his first birthday.

Around midnight, technically on the morning of his birthday, I finished his quilt!
I'm so happy with the way it turned out. It's not very big, but it's the perfect size for laying on the floor or covering him in the crib. And when he is a little bigger I hope it's the perfect size for him to drag around everywhere he goes. If he likes it as much as I hope he does it will be dirty and worn and loved in no time flat.
Here he is this morning. I made him pose with his gift. I think it was too early to show real excitement!

And one more just because he's cute.

Happy birthday, love. Many, many more.
